Ennis Hockey Club
Established in October 2019, our club came from the love of hockey. We are a group of volunteers passionate about hockey and bringing this sport to kids and adults of Clare.
Despite having to close for Covid shortly after the club was started, we have grown our numbers and have now a vibrant club with over 100 members. Almost all our players have started as complete beginners and we are super proud to see them blossom and enjoy the games - and also grow into confident hockey leaders through our Young Leaders Program.
We believe that sport should be fun way to keep fit and engage with local community. That is why our club is really inclusive and everyone can fit in – we are really thrilled that these efforts have been recognized, as we have been nominated to European Federation Small Club of the Year Award in December 2021.
Our goal is to have a full sized hockey pitch in Ennis one day – so we train, play, compete and develop next generation of people passionate about this Olympic sport.
That is also why we are always looking for like minded people - with passion for sport and inclusion - to join our friendly team and help us with our mission.
