Frequently asked questions.

  • Please get in contact with us first to see if we have spaces available. Once we confirm this, you will need to register your child on TEAMFEEPAY and GOMEMBERSHIP platforms - invitation links will be sent to you by the club. Please also check out our membership section for more info.

  • We offer trial sessions for the first 3 trainings - these are pay as you go and charged at €5 each. If after that you decide to take the sport up, a yearly fee will need to be paid. We prefer cashless payments however it is possible to pay cash. If you have financial difficulties please talk to the Club’s Chairperson.

  • The games and training is conducted on an astroturf pitch at the Planet or at the CBS. Please check out our venue page for more details.

  • You will need a stick, which we can provide for you for the trial sessions after which we recommend you purchase your own. Mouth guard and shin guards are required for all sessions for your or your child’s safety. Please note that hockey shin guards are slightly different as they cover ankles.

  • Regular runners are OK to start with, however we do recommend to buy astro hockey shoes if you decide to continue with the sport - as the surface could be slippery.

  • All people involved in the Club are volunteers and there are no paid positions in the Club. All money raised goes towards the Club’s development.

  • We do train in all weather - even when it is raining! We do however have a bad weather policy in place and the training may be cancelled.

  • Please contact our staff - or any shop / online shop - before you buy it. Typically, the stick should come up to the top of your hip bone.

  • Our teams are part of the Munster Branch and we do play league matches and/or blitzes. Please note that travelling would be required.

  • We are always on a look out for volunteers and no hockey background is required. Please contact us here for more details.
